With the penultimate round of Premier League fixtures rolling onto Sunday, we have a stacked schedule on the cards.

With a host of top-flight clubs looking to wrap up their own respective European tickets, we have five Premier League battles from up and down the country.

Ahead of what could be a season-defining Sunday of Premier League action, we have taken a look at some of the most intriguing betting markets.

14:15 West Ham vs Nottingham Forest

Only just clinging to their Premier League status last season, Nottingham Forest have certainly cemented their spot as one of Europe’s ultimate surprise packages this time around. However, although Nuno Espirito Santo’s men might have broken a string of records this year, Sunday’s guests find their Champions League dreams now hanging by a thread. Eventually forced to settle for a 2-2 stalemate at home against bitter local rivals Leicester last weekend as they missed out on a golden opportunity, the former Wolves boss has seen his squad muster just a single win from their previous six Premier League showdowns. However, facing what is a season-defining trip to east London on Sunday afternoon, Nottingham Forest will be excited by their most recent meeting against the Hammers. Storming their way to a 3-0 romp when they welcomed West Ham to the City Ground on November 2nd, the former Wolves boss will be desperately seeking a repeat performance here.

Managing to claim a much-welcomed 2-0 victory away at Europa League finalists Manchester United last weekend, West Ham will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. However, despite drawing a line under their eight-match winless rut, Graham Potter has failed to offer much stability since arriving at the London Stadium back in January. Spending the whole of this season scrapping it out at the foot of the Premier League table, Sunday’s hosts have also gained an unwanted reputation for their struggles in east London. In fact, West Ham have ed just a single win from their last seven showdowns in front of their own ers – a run that stems back to a 3-2 victory against Fulham on **. Likewise, recording just a sole clean sheet at the London Stadium so far this calendar year, the former Chelsea boss still has some serious pressure on his shoulders.

15:00 Brentford vs Fulham

Embarking on what has become a sensational purple patch, Brentford still know that a famous European ticket is still on the cards. Securing a 1-0 victory away at an already-relegated Ipswich last weekend, Thomas Frank’s men have hit top gear at a crucial time of the season and are riding what has become a major wave of momentum. Securing a dramatic 4-3 win against Europa League finalists Manchester United earlier in the month, Sunday’s hosts have won all of their previous four consecutive appearances. Getting May underway with a 2-0 victory away at Champions League dreamers Nottingham Forest, Frank’s side have also gained a reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third. Including a 4-2 win against Brighton on April 19th, Brentford have notched 11 goals on their four-match winning run. Likewise, suffering just a single Premier League defeat since returning from March’s international break, the Bees have also clinched consecutive victories on home soil.

Although Fulham might have signed off April with a 2-1 victory away at Southampton, it appears that was just a minor boost for Marco Silva’s downbeat squad. Watching their respective European dreams take a critical blow, there has also been plenty of speculation that the former Everton boss is keen on a move away from Craven Cottage this summer. Last seen suffering a real collapse on home soil as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Everton, the Cottagers have lost four of their previous five Premier League appearances. Likewise, watching their FA Cup adventure come to a thumping end on March 29th as they fell to a 3-0 drumming against Crystal Palace, Fulham have also lost six of their last eight showdowns across all competitions. Enduring what has become quite the recent rut, Silva’s squad will be bracing themselves for another stern examination when they travel across west London here.
