According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is set to undergo a medical before completing his move to Liverpool. A full agreement has been reached, both between the two clubs over the payment structure for the release clause in the player’s contract with the Bundesliga side, and between Liverpool and Frimpong over personal .
Frimpong’s arrival to Anfield would mean the Premier League champions have filled the vacancy left by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s imminent departure to Real Madrid, and with Conor Bradley g a new four-year Liverpool contract as well, the Merseysiders should be well-stocked for the right defensive flank.
Liverpool will be paying a total of €35million to Leverkusen for Frimpong’s services, and the 24-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal.
Frimpong offers a different kind of attacking outlet down the right flank to the trademark ing skill of Alexander-Arnold, relying more on pace and dribbling skills to deliver the desired output.
