Dutch side PSV Eindhoven have taken Swedish striker Marcus Berg on a season long loan from Bundesliga outfit Hamburger SV. Berg was a huge hit in the Eredivisie when he played for Groningen between 2007 and 2009, but was unable to replicate that form for HSV in .
Berg started his career with IFK Goteborg in his native Sweden and ed Groningen in 2007. In two seasons at Groningen, he scored 36 goals in 58 games, striking at a little over 0.6 goals a game.
At HSV, his league form was poor as he could only grab four goals in thirty outings. He however had a good run in HSV’s Europa League campaign, netting six times in thirteen appearances.
