As things stand at the moment, Leroy Sane is set to become a free agent when his contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of June, but according to German outlet Bild, the Bundesliga champions have not given up on trying to persuade the former Manchester City winger to sign a new contract and stay at the Allianz Arena.
However, they have no intention of changing the contract offer the 29-year-old international has already rejected once, which means it will take a lot of persuading to potentially change Sane’s mind.
At Bayern, they would like to keep Sane, whose 11 goals and six assists in 30 Bundesliga matches certainly helped Vincent Kompany’s team win the title this season, but they also acknowledge his right to leave as a free agent if he really wants to, and if that proves to be the case, they are ready to move on.
