Bayern Munich have confirmed they are keen on g Holland defender Gregory van der Wiel from Ajax.
Van der Wiel have been linked with a number of clubs around Europe and Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge are among the clubs interested in g the defender.
Ajax have also confirmed Bayern Munich’s interest in the 22-year-old.
“We are looking at things now and will discuss them again with the coach,” said Rummenigge. “Theoretically, we have until August 31.
“Sometimes one has to pursue things with great calm so that they don’t become too expensive.”
