According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are still interested in g Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City in the transfer window.
Apparently, Juventus initially expressed their interest in the midfielder about a month ago. Since then, a number of other clubs, namely Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, have also thrown their hats into the ring. But before they make a decision about letting Phillips a Premier League rival, City wanted to know if there was still a chance for him to go to Turin.
Upon his arrival from Leeds United in 2022 for £45 million, Phillips was supposed to be a part of a new setup within Pep Guardiola’s ranks. However, the Catalan tactician recently itted there was no place in there for the 28-year-old, whose transfer away from the Etihad seems imminent at this point.
City are believed to be willing not only to let Phillips leave on a six-month loan in January, but also to cover a part of his wages during that time, and the talks between the two clubs are expected to continue in the coming days.
