It marks the second g of the summer window for the Premier League champions, having already welcomed Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong earlier this month.

Arne Slot’s team are also aiming to complete a deal for Florian Wirtz, with Liverpool reportedly submitting an improved £113million bid for the international.

The Reds are also linked with a move for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez as they aim to provide competition for Andy Robertson at left-back.
