According to Paul Joyce of The Times, Liverpool are looking to seal the deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth in the coming days. The overall feeling with all parties involved is that the transfer will go through, meaning the 21-year-old will Hungary teammate Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield soon.
The two clubs are, however, yet to reach an agreement over the proposed price, with Bournemouth holding out for the full amount of £45million, while Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes, who ed the Merseysiders from Bournemouth himself, is still putting in an effort to reduce the fee.
Kerkez represents exactly the type of player Liverpool boss Arne Slot is looking to add to his ranks in the wide defensive positions, boasting plenty of pace and drive. The Premier League champions have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, and they’re said to be closing in on the transfer of his teammate from the BayArena, Florian Wirtz.
Joyce also reports that Liverpool have not received any offers for Luis Diaz, despite recent rumours speaking of interest from Barcelona and Al-Nassr, and they’re not looking to sell the Colombian winger either.
