According to Fabrizio Romano, the negotiations between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen over the proposed transfer of Florian Wirtz have continued on Monday, and as a result, the Merseysiders have submitted their first offer for the services of the 22-year-old international.
The offer is believed to be in excess of €100million in total, including various incentives which Liverpool are trying to work into the deal. Leverkusen have received the offer and are currently considering it – no reply has been given as of yet as the negotiations continue.
Wirtz was of great interest to Bayern Munich as well, and before that, he was linked with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, but he has reportedly informed his current employers that he only wants to Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are believed to have completed one g from Leverkusen already – Jeremie Frimpong has reportedly signed a five-year contract, though official confirmation from either club is yet to come.
