Man United to Tah race

Manchester United have ed the race for the services of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, according to Sky .

The 35-cap international will be a free agent as his contract expires at the end of the season. He has reportedly agreed with Barcelona, but the Catalan giants have a problem to work around if they are to Tah for the 2025/26 season, which a loophole other prospective suitors are looking to exploit.

Bayern Munich are believed to have held an interest in Tah for a long time, and this development has raised the eyebrows at Manchester United as well. Nothing is signed at the moment and the race is wide open.

Regarding United’s interest, much will likely depend on whether they manage to add Champions League football to the list of things aimed at attracting the 29-year-old to their ranks. The only way they could get there is to win the Europa League, and they’ve put one foot in the final by beating Athletic Bilbao away by 0-3 in the first leg of the semifinals.

Unless they make a mess of things in the rematch at Old Trafford, United will probably face Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who beat Bodo/Glimt by 3-1 at home, in the final.
