Manchester United are interested in g Youssouf Fofana from AS Monaco in the summer transfer window, according to Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg. The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Premier League club United are in with the agents of Fofana.
Plettenberg wrote on X: “Manchester United have made with the agents of Youssouf #Fofana to explore a potential deal this summer!
“It was 2-3 weeks ago when ManUtd have presented their projects and plans. At this stage, they have not yet made a concrete offer to Monaco for the 25 y/o central midfielder. #MUFC
“#Fofana still have a verbal agreement with AC Mailand about a contract until 2028. But no agreement between AC and AS yet. @SkySportDE.”
Fofana has been on the books of AS Monaco since 2020 and has established himself as one of the better midfielders in Ligue 1. The 25-year-old international scored four goals and gave four assists in 31 starts and one substitute appearance in Ligue 1 last season.
