Newcastle United competing with Juventus for Liam Delap

Newcastle United are interested in g Liam Delap from Ipswich Town in the summer transfer window, according to TuttoJuve. The report in the Italian media has also revealed that Serie A giants Juventus are keen on the striker.

Delap ed Ipswich from Manchester City in the summer of 2024. The 22-year-old English striker has scored 12 goals and given two assists in 29 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Tractor Boys, who are on the verge of getting relegated to the Championship.

If Ipswich go down, the clubs will be able to sign Delap if they trigger his release clause of £30 million. Newcastle are reported to view the striker as ‘an ideal reinforcement to raise the team’s offensive level in a season where the maximum is expected both in the Premier League and in Europe’. Delap is reportedly at the top of the Magpies’ summer wish-list.
