Newcastle United are interested in g Nathan Collins from Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. The report has claimed that Newcastle scouts were present at the Premier League game between Brentford and Ipswich Town to watch Collins in action.
The Magpies are keen on g a new centre-back this summer and have identified Marc Guehi as one of their main targets. However, Collins is also on the radar of Eddie Howe’s side, who are aiming to finish in the top five of the Premier League table this season and qualify for the Champions League.
According to TBR, Arsenal are also keen on Collins and have been monitoring the Brentford defender. The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international centre-back has scored two goals and given five assists in 40 matches in all competitions for Brentford this season. The Bees are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 55 points from 36 games.
