Rangers still hope to sell pair

Following their 4-2 win away at Celtic, Rangers failed to make it an absolutely perfect week for them.

They had hoped to do some transfer business but they failed in their bid to offload unwanted players Jean-Claude Darcheville and Brahim Hemdani before the transfer window closed.

They are still hopeful of doing so because of a system whereby clubs in the French Ligue One are still able to sign one player between September and December.
