Real Madrid eye Castello Lukeba

Real Madrid are interested in g Castello Lukeba from RB Leipzig, according to Fichajes. Madrid are reportedly looking for a young central defender for the short term as well as the long term, and think that Lukeba would be the perfect fit.

Lukeba has been on the books of Leipzig since 2023 when he ed from Lyon. The international central defender has played seven times in the Bundesliga, thrice in the UEFA Champions League and once in the DFK-Pokal so far this season. The 21-year-old centre-back scored one goal in 24 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Bundesliga last season.

Madrid are second in the La Liga table at the moment with 24 points from 11 matches, nine points behind leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona, who have played 12 games. As for Leipzig, they are currently second in the Bundesliga table with 20 points from nine matches, three points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
