Roma in move for Manchester United’s Silvestre

According to Sky Sports, Italian side Roma have made a move for Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre.

Silvestre had seem destined for a return to his French homeland after Bordeaux had shown strong interest in the defender, but now it seems that Roma have made an attempt to hijack the deal.

A move to Italian side Roma may prove a more tempting offer to Silvestre, something which Bordeaux director Marius Tresor has had to it to.

Tresor told press:“For Mikael Silvestre, I’m afraid it’s complicated,”

“I recently met him in the West Indies and He told me he was at least approached by Roma,”Tresor added.

“And as far as both teams are concerned, there’s a risk a permanent move to Roma is more attractive than a loan to Bordeaux.”

Silvestre, 30, has suffered an injury ravaged season after missing over 6 months of football due to a knee ligament injury. Silvestre has played in Italy before after ing Manchester United from Italian side Internazionale, where he made 18 appearances in two years.
