Netherlands goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg is ‘very confident’ heading into his side’s crucial Euro 2012 match with .
The Roma man said Bert van Marwijk’s side are determined to collect three points against their arch rivals, and itted that they must pick up a win in order to have any chance of progressing to the quarter-finals in Poland and Ukraine.
“I’m very confident about the game,” the 29-year-old told the official UEFA website.
“I could really sense it in training today. We’ll do everything we can because we need a good result to stay in the tournament.”
The former Ajax star believes his side must be cautious of the danger pose on the break, but feels that his team-mates pose just as much of a threat.
“I think we’ll start the game the same way as against Denmark, but the danger is that have great players to counterattack if we lose the ball. That’s why we’ll have to be very wary of blocking those attacks, because that’s one of their strengths,” the shot-stopper said.
