Tottenham Hotspur are confident of securing the services of Angel Gomes ahead of Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. Gomes is out of contract at Lille at the end of the season, and Spurs believe that the England international midfielder will make the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Gomes has been on the books of Lille since 2020 when he ed after leaving Man Utd. The midfielder has been superb for the French club over the years and has established himself as one of the best players in Ligue 1. Gomes has scored 10 goals and provided 19 assists in 134 appearances for Lille.
Tottenham could finish 17th in the Premier League table this season, but the North London club will play in the UEFA Champions League after winning the Europa League. Spurs beat Man United in the final in Bilbao on Wednesday evening.
