Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in g Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester City in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. After realising that it would be tough to lure Harvey Elliott away from Liverpool, Wolves have decided to target El Khannouss.
With Matheus Cunha set to leave for Manchester United, Wolves need a new creative player. The Wanderers want Elliott, but they have realised that it would not be easy for them to get a deal done for the Liverpool attacker. Wolves are now looking into a possible deal for El Khannouss.
‘Wolves want to sign El Khannouss as a direct replacement for Cunha, according to GMS sources, after he has caught the eye of influential figures behind the scenes when they have been seeking a creative force who is capable of becoming their new talisman heading into next season,’ adds the report in GiveMeSport.
El Khannouss has been relegated to the Championship with Leicester City. The 21-year-old Morocco international attacking midfielder scored three goals and gave six assists in 37 appearances in the Premier League for Leicester this season.
