Chivu announced as new Inter head coach

Inter have announced Cristian Chivu as their new head coach on a two-year contract.

The Romanian announced his departure from Parma earlier on Monday, before Inter confirmed he had signed a deal through to June 2027.

He replaces Simone Inzaghi, who departed Inter days after their Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal.

This is just Chivu’s second managerial job, having spent just three months at Parma.

He led them out of the relegation zone to ensure their top-flight safety after losing just three of his 13 games in charge (W3 D7).

Chivu ed a 23.1% win rate, averaging 1.2 points per game during his tenure.
