Parma have confirmed that head coach Cristian Chivu has departed the club ahead of his anticipated move to Inter.
The Nerazzurri president, Giuseppe Marotta, confirmed last week that the clubs were in the process of finalising a deal to bring Chivu in as Simone Inzaghi’s replacement.
Chivu spent just three months at Parma in his first managerial job, ing them in February.
In his 13 games, he managed just three wins (D7 L3), ing a 23.1% win rate as Parma averaged just 1.2 points per game during his tenure.
However, he guided them out of the relegation zone during that time, ensuring their top-flight safety.
“The club bids farewell to Cristian Chivu, thanking him for his commitment and for leading the team to safety,” Parma said in a post on X.
“His contribution in a complex moment of the season was important. We wish him the best for the rest of his career.”
Il club saluta Cristian Chivu, ringraziandolo per l’impegno mostrato e per aver condotto la squadra alla salvezza.

Gli auguriamo il meglio per il prosieguo della sua carriera.
